Cookie policy

Last updated: March 2026. A clear explanation of how cookies work on this site — and how to control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They serve various purposes: remembering preferences, maintaining sessions, tracking usage, and enabling third-party services. Not all cookies are the same — some are essential for a site to function, others are used for analytics or advertising.

Cookies on DigiTrac

DigiTrac is primarily an informational, static website. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum.

First-party cookies

As of the date of this policy, DigiTrac does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use session cookies, authentication cookies, preference cookies or analytics cookies originating from our domain.

If we introduce analytics or any feature that requires first-party cookies in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them, including their purpose, duration and how to opt out.

Third-party cookies and requests

DigiTrac loads resources from the following third-party services, which may set their own cookies or process request data:

Google Fonts

We load web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these fonts, it sends standard HTTP request data — including your IP address — to Google's servers. Google may use this information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Google states that the Google Fonts API is designed to limit the collection and storage of end-user data to what is needed to serve fonts efficiently. Google Fonts requests may involve cookies set by Google's infrastructure.

Cloudflare

Our site may be delivered through Cloudflare's content delivery and security network. Cloudflare may set cookies (such as __cflb or __cf_bm) for load balancing, bot detection and security purposes. These are functional cookies required for Cloudflare's service to operate correctly. Cloudflare's cookie practices are described in Cloudflare's Cookie Policy.

No advertising or tracking cookies

DigiTrac does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media tracking widgets or any behavioural tracking technology. We do not participate in ad networks and do not allow third-party advertisers to set cookies through our site.

Managing cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device.
  • Delete some or all cookies.
  • Block cookies from specific sites or all sites.
  • Set preferences for first-party versus third-party cookies.

Here is how to manage cookies in common browsers:

Google Chrome

Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block third-party cookies, clear cookies on exit, or manage exceptions for individual sites.

Mozilla Firefox

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Firefox also offers Enhanced Tracking Protection which blocks known third-party tracking cookies by default.

Apple Safari

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Safari blocks third-party cookies by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP).

Microsoft Edge

Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data. Edge offers tracking prevention levels (Basic, Balanced, Strict) that control third-party cookie behaviour.

Mobile browsers

On iOS and Android, cookie settings are found within the browser's settings menu (typically under Privacy or Site Settings). Most mobile browsers also support content-blocking extensions that can restrict cookies from specific domains.

Blocking all cookies will not break DigiTrac. Since we do not rely on first-party cookies for any functionality, you can browse this site with cookies fully disabled and all content will remain accessible.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Since DigiTrac does not track users, the DNT signal does not change our behaviour — we already do not track you. We respect the intent behind DNT and operate in alignment with it by default.

Changes to this policy

If we add any services that introduce new cookies (for example, a privacy-respecting analytics tool), we will update this policy to reflect the change, including the cookie name, purpose, duration and opt-out method. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
